Career
Alexey Medvedev began his professional career in 2001 as part of Severstal, speaking before the farm-club of his native Penza -based Dieselist . Before the start of the 2001/02 season , Aleksey joined Lipetsk Holding , where in 66 matches he scored 33 (11 + 22) points. Medvedev started the 2002/03 season as part of the Kemerovo Energia , but after 17 matches played, he signed a contract with the Tyumen Gazovik , where for the rest of the season he scored 22 (10 + 12) points in 42 matches.
In 2003, Alexey entered into an agreement with the Metallurg Novokuznetsk , where in the 4 seasons he was one of the leaders, gaining 90 (39 + 51) points in 221 matches. Before the start of the 2007/08 season, Medvedev became a player of the Ufa -based Salavat Yulaev , where in the same year for the first time in his career he won the Russian championship, 2 years later adding to this the Continental Hockey League's bronze medals. In total, Alexey spent 189 matches in the Ufa club, in which he scored 59 (23 + 36) points.
On September 15, 2010, Medvedev signed a contract with Dynamo Moscow [1] , in which he spent 35 matches and scored 8 (4 + 4) points, after which, just before the start of the playoffs, he moved to Siberia Novosibirsk [2 ] . On June 14, 2011, Alexey decided to return to Novokuznetsk, concluding a one-year agreement with the club [3] .
