Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album is the fourth album of soundtracks for the American musical television series " Chorus ", which is broadcast by Fox on the United States and Canada. The album was released on November 9, 2010, and was timed to coincide with the Christmas episode " A Very Glee Christmas ", which was shown on December 7, 2010. Executive producers were Dante Di Loreto and Brad Falchak , and all the tracks were released as singles through digital distribution .

About the album
Six of the twelve songs included in the album are “We Need a Little Christmas”, “You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch ”,“ Merry Christmas Darling ”,“ Baby, It's Cold Outside ”,“ Last Christmas ”and“ The Most Wonderful Day of the Year ” [7] - were performed in the Christmas episode“ A Very Glee Christmas ”of December 7, 2010 [8] [9] [10] . A cover version of Last Christmas was recorded a year earlier, in November 2009, and released as a charity single through the iTunes Store ; part of the funds raised went to the Grammy Fund to finance children's educational programs [11] [12] . The track reached the 63rd line on the Billboard Hot 100 [13] [14] , and also appeared on the Australian Singles Chart and Canadian Hot 100 on the sixtieth and forty-sixth places respectively and on the twenty-seventh in the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks [15] [16 ] ] . On the Billboard's Holiday Songs chart, which determines the popularity of songs over the holidays, “Last Christmas” took 20th place in the 2009 Christmas season [17] .
The track list of the album was announced in a press release on October 26, 2010 [10] . The Canadian singer kd lang took part in the recording of the album, who performed along with Matthew Morrison the song “You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch ”, with minor changes, in particular the phrase“ Sue the Grinch ”instead of“ Mr. Grinch " [18] . In addition, the actor Darren Criss , who performed the song “Baby, It's Cold Outside” together with Chris Kolfer, was noted as a guest star on the album [19] . A Christmas greeting card was included with the album [20] .
