The 602nd commando company ( Spanish: Compañía de Comandos 602 ) is a special forces unit of the Argentine army . It is divided into three assault sections (squads). Fighters of the company wear green berets.

History
The unit was formed on May 21, 1982 in the province of Cordoba . The company was commanded by 39-year-old Major Aldo Rico. The company took part in the fighting of the Anglo-Argentine conflict [1] , during which the fighters, with the support of the 601st helicopter-assault battalion, carried out raids as part of mixed patrols. On May 30, 1982, in a battle near Mount Kent Skirmish with the 22nd SAS Regiment, the 2nd section (department) lost two people [2] [3] . The loss of the British - two people. Two Argentines, subsequently, received medals for their distinction in that battle [4] . On June 10, the 1st assault section, together with a unit of the National Gendarmerie of Argentina, pushed back a British platoon of marines in battle on the Marrell River, losing two people and seizing weapons and equipment Royal Marins [5] [6] . According to the English version, the Argentines lost three people, and only thanks to mortar support could they repel the British attack [7] .
