Biography
Childhood
Born in the city of Krasnoarmeysk, Saratov region, in a family of workers. Grew up without a father. To support his family, he studied and worked at the same time.
Surgery
After watching the film “ Colleagues ” (1962), I decided to become a doctor. After serving in the Soviet Army , in 1965 he entered the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute named after NI Pirogov .
After graduating from the medical institute in 1971, he was assigned to work at the Institute of Medical Radiology in Obninsk , where he worked as a doctor in the bone department and was engaged in the surgical technique of small surgical interventions and diagnostic techniques. Later he was a surgeon in the department of surgical and conservative treatment of radiation injuries.
For more than 30 years he was an operating surgeon, specialized in skin plastic surgery for the treatment of radiation injuries.
In his youth, while working at the Obninsk Institute, he worked at night as an ambulance doctor in the nearby city of Maloyaroslavets .
Author of 18 scientific publications.
Water Tourism
In the 1980s, he was one of the nine strongest water sportsmen in the USSR . Passed 18 routes of the highest category of complexity in Central Asia , in the Pamirs . He made the first ascent of several rapids. Muksu and r. Obihingou (Pamir, the highest category of complexity). One of the first to become the master of sports of the USSR of international class . Designer new model of the sports raft. For more than 10 years he was the head of the Obninsk sports tourism club.
