History of the formation of the area
The territory of the current Uchkuprik district from 1882 to 1926 was part of the Kenagas and Yangikurgan volosts of the Kokand district that existed in the Russian Empire . During the zoning during the Soviet era in 1926 as part of the Kokand and Baghdad district of the Ferghana district. On October 1, 1938, in honor of the Soviet party leader Molotov, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich , the Molotovsky District was formed as part of the Ferghana Region. In 1957, it was renamed the Leningrad region [2] . In 1992 it was renamed to Uchkuprik district [3] .
The territory of the district extends to 280 sq. Km. and it borders with the Dangarinsky, Baghdadsky and Buvaydinsky districts, the population of 203.0 thousand inhabitants are mainly Uzbeks, as well as Kyrgyz, Tajiks and other nationalities. Uchkuprik district is mainly agricultural, but it is developed by the production of cotton yarn and thread. Sport
In 2005, at the initiative of the district prosecutor, (he was a volleyball fan, a prosecutor — fair, principled, responsible, professional, moderately tough and morally stable) a male major volleyball squad was formed on the basis of a children's sports school - the Uchkuprik-volleyball-sport club "(UVS), which in 2006 won the Uzbekistan Cup. In the final of the Cup of Uzbekistan, ukupriktsy met with the recognized favorites of the Uzbek volleyball with the team of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK), which were once winners in the Cup. In a four-set match, the UVS beat AGMK with a score of 3: 1 (25:10, 22:25, 25:22, 25:22), and the player of the UVS club, 24-year-old Mukhitdin Shadmanov, was recognized as the best breeder of the tournament. From this moment, a real volleyball boom begins in the area, hundreds of boys filled the sports fields of the area. Leonid Hayrapetyants, Secretary General of the Republican Volleyball Federation, said in an interview with the newspaper Pravda Vostoka:
The debutant among the men's major league volleyball squads - the Uchkuprik-Volleyball-Sport (UVS) club - won the Uzbekistan Cup. Some of the experts may find this result sensational. I do not think so. Cup battles differ in that in them excitement wins, the ability to tune in to decisive fights in a fleeting tournament. Here sometimes the difference in the class of the game is not so important. The UVS as one of the youngest teams fully demonstrated all these qualities and deservedly received the honorary trophy of the republic .
However, after the prosecutor left the post, the UVS club ceased to exist, as subsequent prosecutors were not interested in sports at all.
