It borders on the Baghdad , Uchkuprik , Altyaryk , Dangara districts of the Ferghana region, and the Pap , Mingbulak districts of the Namangan region.

History
Buvaidinsky district was formed on February 13, 1943 (the center is the village of Buvaida), abolished in the late 1950s, restored in 1973 [2] (with the center in the village of Yangikurgan). In 2015, the center of the district, the village of Yangikurgan was renamed to the urban village of Ibrat .
