Vita Bernwardi episcopi Hildesheimensis - biography of Bishop Bernard of Hildesheim (d. November 20, 1022)
The author of the biography der Scholaster of the Hildesheim Tangmar monastery school (940/950 - May 25 after 1019). It is indisputable that some parts of the text were created by Tangmar; perhaps later, additions by other authors were made in Vita Bernwardi .
Vita Bernwardi is one of the main sources of events of the last years of the reign of the Ludolfing dynasty.
