Insignia history
The insignia was established on January 22, 1994 by Decree of the President of Ukraine L. M. Kravchuk No. 21/94. [one]
Regulation on the insignia
The Star of the General of the Army of Ukraine is presented by the President of Ukraine to persons who have been awarded the military rank of General of the Army of Ukraine or the special rank of General of the Internal Service of Ukraine. Simultaneously with the Star of the General of the Army of Ukraine, the Certificate of President of Ukraine is awarded.
Wear Order
In accordance with the current “Temporary order of wearing orders, medals and other insignia on the dress uniform of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ” dated July 18, 2011 [2] , the army generals of the Ukraine under the full uniform wear a special insignia of the army general of Ukraine - Army General Star Of Ukraine on a neck tape. If there is a Star of the General of the Army of Ukraine, the signs of the orders of Ukraine on neck ribbons are placed below it, while only one sign of the order can be worn on the neck ribbon.
Description of the insignia
- The special badge “Star of the General of the Army of Ukraine” is made of gold and has the shape of a five-pointed star . The beam length of the star is 14 mm. The height of the star profile is 8 mm. On the front side of the sign, the star’s rays are dihedral polished, with a relief image of the State Emblem of Ukraine in the center. A white gold star with a leucosapphire in the center superimposed on the image of the State Emblem of Ukraine is mounted in the middle of the sign. The weight of leucosapphire is 2.04 carats .
- The diameter of the circle circumscribed around a gold star is 42 mm; around a star made of white gold, it is 21 mm.
- The reverse side of the sign is flat, with the number of the Star of the General of the Army of Ukraine.
- The star of the army general of Ukraine is connected with a triangular eyelet on the upper beam to a 14 mm semi-oval mount.
- A moiré yellow-blue ribbon is pulled through the eye on the upper beam. The total width of the tape is 17 mm.
- The total weight of the mark is 35 grams .
