Shokchang ( Vietnamese. Sóc Trăng ) - a province in southern Vietnam , in the Mekong Delta . The area is 3312 km². According to 2009 data, the population is 1,289,441 people [1] . The population density is 389.32 people / km². The administrative center is the city of the same name located 230 km from Ho Chi Minh City . [2] Includes 72 km of the coast of the South China Sea.
