Baria Vung Tau ( Vietnamese. Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu ) is a province in southern Vietnam . The area is 1,987.4 km². The population for 2009 is 994,837 people [1] . The population density is 500.67 people / km². The province took its present form in 1992, having stood out from the province of Dong Nai .

Administratively divided into:
- the city of provincial subordination Vung Tau ,
- the city of the provincial subordination of Baria [2] ;
and the following 6 counties:
- Longdien County (Long Điền);
- Datdo County (Đất Đỏ);
- Tyaudyk County (Châu Đức);
- Tanthan County (Tân Thành);
- Suenmok county (Xuyên Mộc);
- County Konda (Côn Đảo) - island county.
Economy
The province is known for the oil industry and tourist destination. In the province are the nearest beaches to Ho Chi Minh City , because at the weekend, many residents of the metropolis come here to rest.
