Biography
Born into a peasant family. After graduating from high school he worked in agriculture.
In 1929 he entered, in 1934 he graduated from the Leningrad Forestry Academy .
In 1934–1940 at the Balakhninsky pulp and paper mill (master, deputy head, head of a pulp mill, head of production, technical director)
In 1939–1941 - chief engineer of the Syasstroy pulp and paper mill in the Leningrad region
In 1941–1942 - Chief Engineer of the Solikamsk Pulp and Paper Mill ; (Perm Region)
In 1944-1945 - Director Malinskaya bumfabriki
In 1945-1947 - Director of the Kaliningrad plant number 1
In 1950-1955 - the chief engineer of the Zhydachiv combine
In the years 1955-1982 - Director of the Kondopoga pulp and paper mill .
He was elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, deputy of the Kondopoga Council of People's Deputies.
Performance Assessments
Under the leadership of V. M. Kholopov, paper production at the Kondopoga pulp and paper mill increased 10 times. V.M. Kholopov defended the project with new high-speed paper machines, although they were somewhat more expensive and demanded rebuilding of workshops. Six new paper machines were installed and put into operation, new workshops were built, and a pulp mill was reconstructed. Holopov introduced an interesting method to encourage the repair team. They received a bonus if no accidents occurred. On the affairs of the plant visited 35 countries.
Kondopoga pulp and paper mill was the leader in the industry in secondary water circulation.
In 1969, Kondopoga newspaper paper - the first in the industry - was awarded the State Quality Mark of the USSR . The plant has become one of the main suppliers and exporters of paper in the USSR.
