Career
P-Subban began his professional hockey career at the Belleville Bulls OHL club. In 2007, the young defender was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens club, however, another 2 years passed before Subban joined his new club. During these 2 years, a black hockey player managed to become a two-time world champion in the youth team of Canada.
Defender began the 2009/10 season at Hamilton Bulldogs , Canadiens Farm Club; this season, he became a member of the All- AHL All-Star Game. The first match for the Montreal, Pi Key Subban held February 12, 2010 against the Philadelphia Flyers . Following the results of the next season, a young defender was selected for the NHL Rookie Team.
In January 2013, P-Kay signed with Montreal a new 2-year contract for $ 5.75 million [7] . The defender noted the extension of the contract with the club, entering at the end of March - for the first time in his career - into the top three NHL players [8] . At the end of the season, P-Kay Subban was nominated for the Norris Trophy and eventually won the nomination, becoming the first Canadiens defender to win this trophy after a long break ( Chris Chelios was the last to receive this honor before him).
On August 2, 2014, he signed with the Hubs an 8-year $ 72 million contract until the end of the 2021/22 season, making him the highest-paid league defender. [9]
June 29, 2016 was traded to the Nashville Predators for Shea Weber . [ten]
On June 22, 2019, he was exchanged at New Jersey Devils for defenders Stephen Santini , Jeremy Davis, and also for two draft picks of the second round of 2019 and 2020 .
Team Career
As part of the youth team of Canada, Pi-Kay Subban twice participated in world championships . Both times, the Canadian team won the world championship. At the 2009 championship, P-Kay Subban entered the top three players of his team [11] . 2014 Olympic champion.

Personal life
Parents of Subban are natives of the islands of the Caribbean ( Jamaica and Montserrat ). In addition to Pi-Kay, the family has two more sons and two daughters. Both Pi-Kay brothers also play hockey, both are drafted by NHL clubs: the goalkeeper Malcolm chose Boston Bruins in 2012 (made his debut in the NHL on February 20, 2015), and Jordan won the Vancouver Canucks in 2013 .
P-Kay has been dating the American skier Lindsay Vonn since 2018 [12] .
