Corvettes of the Gavron type (from Polish , Grach , project 621) are multipurpose corvettes of the Polish Navy, a variant of the MEKO A-100 project, developed by the German company Blohm + Voss . The construction of the lead ship began in 2001.

Build
By 2009, it was planned to build 7 ships of this type, but work began only on the lead ship, which was called "лlёнzak" ( Ślązak - Polish. Silesian, resident of Silesia ). Construction was repeatedly delayed due to lack of funding, due to ambiguity with the choice of weapons and system configuration. The lead ship was launched on September 16, 2009 , but further construction was suspended due to the financial crisis [1] . Later, construction was resumed with plans for completion by 2015 [2] . February 24, 2012, the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk said that following a meeting of the National Security Council of Poland, the government decided to close the program and stop building the lead ship [3] .
September 23, 2013 an agreement was signed providing for the completion of the lead ship of the project on a simplified project, like a patrol ship. Delivery is planned for 2016 [4] .
