History
On January 23, 1942, the USSR State Defense Committee (USSR GKO) decided to build a railway along the right bank of the Volga in its middle and lower reaches. The highway, passing through Kubnya, stretched from Sviyazhsk station to Ilovlya station and received the name Volzhskaya Rokada [3] .
The station was built in 1942 by mobilized Germans and local collective farmers organized in Volzhlag and was part of the Volga Rokada . Rails and sleepers from the eastern part of the country where the construction of the Baikal-Amur road was planned were used as material for the construction of the road .
Current status
Commodity and passenger trains running southward from Kazan and back pass through the station. Suburban trains run from Kazan to Buinsk.
