The Kamer diocese is the diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church , uniting parishes and monasteries on the territory of part of the Kemerovo region . It is part of the Kuzbass Metropolis .

The ruling bishop is Aristarchus (Smirnov) since 2006 . Cathedral - Znamensky Cathedral in Kemerovo . The Diocese of Kemerovo includes two convents - Seraphim-Pokrovsky in Leninsk-Kuznetsk and Holy Assumption in the village of Elykaevo, Kemerovo district, Kemerovo region. The Novokuznetsk Orthodox Theological Seminary operates.
History
The Kemerovo diocese was formed by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church of June 11, 1993 by separation from the Krasnoyarsk diocese . The first bishop was Sofrony (Budko) (from June 30, 1993 to July 19, 2006). From August 20, 2006 to the present, Bishop is Aristarchus (Smirnov) .
Between March 26, 2005 and July 19, 2006, the Diocese had Prokopyevsky Vicariate, ruled by vicar Bishop Amvrosiy (Ermakov) .
By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church of July 26, 2012, the Novokuznetsk and Mariinsky dioceses were allocated from the Kemerovo diocese with their inclusion in the newly formed Kuzbass Metropolis [1] .

- 1st Prokopyevskoye, including parishes in the village of Mikhailovka , Smyshlyaev. It is governed by Archpriest Vladimir Kolesnikov;
- 2nd Prokopyevskoye, including parishes in Kalachev , Plodopitomnik and Shkolny , the church in Kolchegiz. Managed by Priest Vasily Bidziley;
- Belovsky, including parishes in Babanakov , Novobachaty , Ivanovka , State Farm , Chertinsky . It is governed by Archpriest Peter Gutovich;

- 3rd Leninsk-Kuznetsk, including parishes in Panfilov , Krapivinsky , Zelenogorsk , Chusovitino , Drachenino , Borisov . It is ruled by priest Sergiy Chukovitov;
- Penitentiary, ruled by Priest Greb Kurluta.
