Okubo Station ( Japanese: 大 久保 ок ookubo eki ) is a train station on the Chuo Sobu Line located in a special area of Shinjuku , Tokyo . The station was opened on May 5, 1895. It is located in the center of the "Korean quarter" near the Shin-Okubo station of the Yamanote line . In the vicinity of the station there are many shops selling Korean goods, as well as Korean restaurants, clubs and bars. [2] A tactile coating is installed at the station.
