Dunavas parish ( Latvian. Dunavas pagasts ) is one of the seven territorial units of the Jekabpils region of Latvia . It is located on the left bank of the Daugava . It borders on Zas , Ruben and Signa volosts of its territory, Dviet volost of the Ilukst region , the Jersik volost of the Lebanese region and the Nice parish of the Daugavpils region .

The largest settlements of the volost are: Dunava (volost center), Tsukurini, Sudrabkalns, Tadenawa.
The rivers Daugava , Eglon, Melnupite, Olaya, Puntouka, Skuyupite flow through the territory of the volost.
History
In 1945, the Dunava village council was formed in the Ruben parish of Ilukst county . After the cancellation of the volost division in 1949, the Dunava Village Council was alternately part of the Aknisti (1949-1956), Daugavpils (1964-1967) and Jekabpils (1967-1990) districts.
In 1954, the liquidated Eglon Village Council was annexed to the Dunava Village Council. In 1956, the Dunavsky Village Council was disbanded, its territories were partially annexed to the Rubensky Village Council and to the collective farm. Sudrabkalna of the Signa Village Council. In 1964, the Dunava Village Council was restored and parts of the territories of the Dviet and Rubensky Village Councils were added to it [2] .
In 1990, the Dunava Village Council was reorganized into a parish. In 2009, at the end of the Latvian administrative-territorial reform, the Dunava parish became part of the Jekabpils region.
