Biography
He received his primary education, worked as an accountant at the Kaginsky logging station of Avzyansk timber industry enterprise.
In 1941, drafted into the Red Army . Since 1942 - in the battles of the Great Patriotic War.
On the night of September 26, 1943, crossing the Dnieper , he first landed on the right bank in the vicinity of the village of Khodorov in the Mironovsky district of the Kiev region of Ukraine, led a platoon to attack and took up the height. The soldiers repelled several enemy counterattacks and held the line, ensuring the advancement of the remaining regiment units. The enemy only lost more than twenty soldiers and officers killed. Two machine-gun points were destroyed. [2]
P.V. Kudimov died the death of the brave on October 27, 1943. He was buried in the village of Khodorov, Kiev region .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 29, 1943, for the exemplary performance of the combat missions of the command and the heroism and courage shown to this, the foreman Pavel Kudimov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
