Ali Abdulkasimovich Abdulkasimov (born December 25, 1934 ) is a Soviet and Uzbek physical geographer. Doctor of Geographical Sciences ( 1991 ), professor of Samarkand State University (since 1991).

Biography
Born in the Pastaryk district of the Samarkand region of the Uzbek SSR .
In 1959 he graduated from Samarkand University.
In 1964 he graduated from the graduate school of Voronezh State University , and in 1965 he defended his thesis.
In 1960 - 1961 - assistant; in 1964-1968 - senior lecturer; since 1968 - assistant professor; in 1970 - 1980 - head of the department of physical geography of the USSR.
Since 1991 - professor at Samarkand University.
Scientific interests: problems of mapping, zoning and methods of forming natural and anthropogenic landscapes , ecology , qualitative assessment and protection of modern landscapes of Central Asia.
The author of a number of teaching aids to study these problems.
