Champard ( French champart , from champ - field and part - part), or terrage ( French terrage , from terre - land) - in medieval France, seigniorial natural quitrent as a certain part of the crop (from 1/20 to 1/4) from cereals , grapes , flax , etc .; they were taxed the lands held by feudally dependent peasants .
During the French Revolution, decrees of August 4-11, 1789, March 15 and May 3, 1790 provided for the redemption of Shampara.
During the Jacobin dictatorship, by decree of July 17, 1793, Champard was destroyed free of charge.
