Geology

The ridge stretched in a northeast direction. Its length is about 12 km. The southern part of the ridge is part of the Daursky reserve . It is surrounded by a protected area of 7540 ha. The massif has 6 elevations: this (from north-east to south-west) Mount Tsagan-Obo (985.8 m), Mount Monogoty (967 m), rock Shavygyr (Shobogor) (819.6 m), Mount Akura (924 , 8 m), Tsymvey Mountain (869 m) and Skatnaya Mountain (874.6 m). There is also a range of nameless rocky exits. The ridge is cut by a number of pads: Topographic, Greisenovaya, Loha, Narym-Konduy, Tasyrkhoi, Sylmytuy, Kharguytuy, Ordin-Khunduy (Brdyn-Khunduy) and others. On Adun-Chelon, there are remnants of weathering with a height of 3-5 to 20-25 meters. They are mainly arranged in groups. Remains serve as objects of tourist routes.

Granites, of which the massif is mainly composed, are supersaturated with silica and rich in tin , tungsten , beryllium , fluorine , boron, and other volatile and ore elements. In some places, fine-grained granites with muscovite , tourmaline , and fluorite have been preserved. The Adun-Chelonsky field of chamber pegmatites has been officially known since 1828 , when it was first described in the field diary of I. A. Kulibin . Nevertheless, judging by the references of Adun-Chelon as a source of black and smoky quartz , the field was probably developed by prospectors. Smoky quartz was exported to China, where lenses for light protection glasses were machined from it. Along the way, apparently, aquamarine , heliodor and topaz were mined.

Along with these minerals, pegmatites also contain muscovite, gilbertite, fluorite, adularia, tungsten, cassiterite, apatite, orthite, magnetite, hematite and others.

In local culture

On the mountain Tsagan-Obo ( drill . - White Mountain), which is a monument of history and culture, there are places of worship revered by the Buryats.
