Geography
The area is located in the eastern part of the state, and covers 26,777.1 kmΒ².
Population
In 2000, 316,400 people lived in the Miri region. Most of the residents of the Kuching region are Ibans Chinese and Malays, there are also a large number of visiting workers working in the oil and gas industry.
