The population is 35 people ( 2007 ; 12 in 1961 ).
The village is located on the banks of the left tributary of the river Pulibka , the left tributary of Cheptsa , and another left tributary of this river. On the right is the village of Belyany .
A railway passes through the village (Igrinsky direction of the Izhevsk branch of the Gorky railway ). In the village is the Zilai station.
There is one street in the village - Zheleznodorozhnaya.
