Vessel History

The keel was laid under serial number 689 on October 20, 2008. On February 27, 2011 the ship left the dock and moored to the outfitting wall. The final Ems ship from Papenburg to Emden took place on March 11, 2011. For the first time for AIDA Cruises ships, a baptism ceremony took place in Kiel. And the godmother was chosen on the Internet among fans of entertainment on board the company's ships on Facebook. In the final round, Bettina Zwickler was the winner [3]

On board

The Sphinx-equipped vessel has 1,097 cabins, of which 728 are external. Like the twin ship, AIDAblu has its own micro brewery on board.
