The population is 840 inhabitants ( 2005 ). The first mention dates back to the 13th century . It is not known when Kurozvenki received the status of a city , but retained it until 1870 .
In Kurozvenki, there was a family estate of the famous noble family of the Kurozventsky (from which, among others, came Zavisha Kurozvensky - bishop of Krakow, Dobeslav Kurozventsky - regent of Poland, another Dobeslav - governor of Lubelski and Sandomer).
