Biography

She started biathlon in 1991. In 1993, at the junior world championships she won the bronze medal in the relay team with Olga Melnik and Elena Chiskina.

At the adult level, she made her debut in the 1995/96 season at the World Cup stage in Ostersund , took 30th place in the individual race. She took part in the 1996 Biathlon World Championships, took 25th place in the individual race and became the fifth in the relay. In the 1996/97 season, she showed her best result at the world cup stages - 7th place in the individual race. In the 2002/03 season, she performed at the European Cup ( IBU Cup ) and took 18th place in the overall standings.

In 1996, at the first ever summer biathlon world championship, she won gold in the very first kind of program - an individual race, as well as a silver medal in the sprint. At the 2002 Summer World Cup, she won gold as part of the Russian relay team.

She graduated from the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sports (1995), in 2007 received a second education at Surgut State University.
