The United States Air Force Academy is a military training institution that trains officers for the United States Air Force . The Academy is officially accredited by the US government as a college , graduates who successfully complete the four-year course receive a bachelor 's degree ( English Bachelor of Science ) and, as a rule [1] , the rank of second lieutenant of the US Air Force.

The Academy is located in Colorado Springs , Colorado and was founded in accordance with an act of Congress signed by President Eisenhower on April 1, 1954 [2] .
The cost of training, accommodation, meals, and a scholarship is paid by the US government, in return, upon receipt, cadets sign an obligation to serve a certain period in the Air Force.
The US Air Force Academy has published a grant to study methods of "nuclear deterrence" in Russia and China. For these purposes, it is proposed to theoretically simulate a situation that could lead to the use of weapons of mass destruction.
