History

MBK “Sparta & K” was established in 2010 with the support of the administration of the Leninsky Municipal District of the Moscow Region and JSCB “Russian-German Trade Bank A.O.” on the basis of the School of Olympic Basketball Reserve “Spartak” (Moscow Region, Vidnoe), founded by Shabtai von Kalmanovich and his wife Anna Arkhipova-von Kalmanovich . Two players (Oleg Bokov and Denis Piskunov), already experienced in playing in the Premier League of the Russian Championship, were added to the players who had previously played in the championships of the Youth Basketball League and the Youth Basketball Association. Nevertheless, Sparta & K is the youngest team in the Major League - most players are 17-18 years old, and many of them were part of the junior and junior national teams. In 2010, at the European Junior Championship (for players no older than 18 years), the forwards of the team from Vidnoye Vladislav Trushkin and Gleb Goldyrev became silver medalists of the continental championship; the coaching staff of the junior national team of Russia consisted entirely of coaches of the current MBK “Sparta and K”. At present, the club’s general director, Honored Coach of Russia Sergei Mikhailovich Skorochkin, heads two Russian junior teams (under 18 and under 19), he is assisted by club coaches Rolandas Radvila and Mikhail Solovyov.
