The rivers of Ireland, due to the strong waterlogging, form a dense network in places mixed with lakes and swamps . The rivers are full-flowing all year round, do not freeze in the winter. Used for shipping and generating hydroelectric power . Ireland's largest and most significant river is the Shannon River, which crosses most of the country from East to West [1] .
