Biography

Victor Blinov was a typical child of his time. You can say “classic” even as a kid. He lived with his father-disabled mother and sister. Father was a shoemaker, mother was a housewife. My sister worked in the cinema named after Mayakovsky, who was standing near the house, played movies, and Victor and his friends often disappeared there, without missing a single premiere. But most often the young Blinov and his comrades could be seen at the Dynamo stadium. He still stands in the center of Omsk - significantly renewed, with plastic seats in the only stand near the football field. In those early years, of course, there were no plastic seats at all. The hockey box also stood not far from the green lawn, which in the winter, naturally, was poured for mass skating and battles of another hockey - Russian. It was on this ice - from morning to evening, and literally, that Blinov and company disappeared. Disappeared to such an extent that they barely had time to learn. Or rather - did not have time at all.

He studied at the Omsk schools number 10 and number 19. In 1961, he began playing hockey in the Omsk team Spartak (now Avant-garde ).

He made his debut as a defender in the national championship in February 1962 . For three championships in the form of his own club, he played 80 matches and scored 13 goals. According to the results of the championship 1963/64 he was awarded the title of master of sports . In the same year he received an invitation to the capital "Spartak". In the years 1966-1968, a pair of Blinov defenders — Makarov was one of the strongest in the country.

Died July 9, 1968 during training. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery .

  • World Champion, Europe, Olympic Games 1968 - 7 matches, 4 goals.
  • USSR champion 1967 , second prize winner of the USSR championship 1965, 1966, 1968. In the USSR championships there are 190 matches, 42 goals.
  • Finalist of the USSR Cup 1967.

Blinov - one of the brightest stars of the Soviet hockey. It was characterized by a very reliable game in defense. <...> And about the attacking potential of Blinov and nothing to say! <...> After all, at that time he had the most powerful cast in the country. And even now I don’t see Blinov equal in this component of the game.

- Vyacheslav Starshinov [2]
