History
Sanatorium opened in 2001. The medical and health-improving buildings were built about the project of the architect Kiraidt Rudolf Ivanovich.
The name of the village means from the Bashkir "bitter", which is one of the evidence of its use by local residents. Since ancient times, they drank water sources in diseases of the stomach, used in the form of baths for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
The Assinsk mineral springs were first described by academician FN Chernyshev (1889). Two years later, Erman, a doctor at the Beloretskaya Hospital, sent a water sample for analysis to Berlin University (1901). By chemical composition, it was close to the waters known in Germany Kissengoko sources.
The water was bottled under the brand name "Assinskaya" [3] . Now Assine mineral springs are recognized as a hydrogeological monument of nature at the federal level [4] .
In 1999, it was decided to create an Assy sanatorium complex on the basis of the Assinsk mineral sources [3] .
