At the age of 17, Muhe leaves school and takes private painting lessons in Munich. In 1916, Walden, together with Max Ernst, organized for the young Mucha an exhibition of 22 of his works. Despite the lack of systematic art education, the art school under the Sturm group highly appreciates Mucha's talent and was accepted by him in September 1916 as a teacher. In 1917, he took part in further exhibitions of the Sturm Gallery, along with Paul Klee and Alexander Arkhipenko .

In 1918, the artist was drafted into the German army and participated in the last battles of the First World War , which makes him a convinced pacifist. After 1919, Mucha lives in Berlin; he becomes a member of the left November group of artists and participates in its exhibitions in 1927 - 1929 . In 1920, Mucha was invited by Walter Gropius to the Bauhaus school in Weimar, where he teaches woodcut , and then, in 1921 - 1927 , leads the weaving class. In 1923, he leads the commission for organizing the first Bauhaus exhibition. In 1925 - 1926, he, together with the architect Richard Paulik (German) , designs the "Steel House" ( Stahlhaus ) in Dessau .
In 1927, the artist returned to Berlin and before 1930 he taught there at Johannes Itten's private school, with which Mucha had long-standing friendly and creative ties. In addition, Itten and Mukha both followed the teachings of Mazdaznan, an Eastern cult based on Zoroastrianism . In 1931 - 1933 Georg Mouchet was a professor of painting at the Breslau Academy of Arts. After the National Socialists came to power in Germany, the artist's works were attributed to works of degenerative art . According to Goebbels' decree of July 30, 1937, 13 paintings by Mucha were confiscated, and two of them were exhibited in the same year at the exhibition of "degenerative art" in Munich.
Until 1938, Mouche worked as a teacher at the school "Art and Labor" in Berlin, engaged in wall painting. Since 1939 he has been in Krefeld , where he was invited by Itten - to the Higher Special School of Textile Skill. Here Mukhe founds and runs a class for painting fabrics (until 1958 ). In 1960, the artist moved to Lindau (on Lake Constance ), where he leads the life of a free artist and writer.
In 1955, Georg Mouche participated in the exhibition of contemporary art “ documenta ” I in Kassel. In 1979, he was awarded the Lovis Corint Prize.
