The Shilka Range is a mountain range in the Transbaikal Territory of Russia , located in the Eastern Transbaikalia , on the left bank of the Shilka River [1] .

Shilkinsky ridge is characterized by softly defined peaks and gentle slopes. The length of the ridge is about 200 kilometers. The maximum height is 1066 meters. The ridge is composed of granites , crystalline schists , sandstones and deeply dissected by valleys of the Shilka tributaries , which are typical Transbaikal Mari with numerous bumps.
On the slopes of the ridge sparse larch taiga grows. Also, ice and ice meadows are common in this area.
