Radio Free Asia (PCA) is a private, non-profit organization that acts as a radio station and Internet news service. The PCA was created on the basis of the law of the US Congress with the Board of the Broadcasting Board of Governors. The PCA was partially funded from the US federal budget and also by the civilian sector, including the Korean Foundation for Culture and Freedom [1] . PCA broadcasts in nine Asian languages in at least six countries.

Mission
The mission of the Broadcasting Board of Governors is to “support and maintain freedom and democracy by broadcasting reliable and objective news and information about the United States and the world to foreign listeners. [...] RSA broadcasts news and information to Asian listeners who do not have full access to weighted reports in their local media. Through its broadcast and “ask a live question” program, the PCA aims to fill a critical divide in people in Asia . Its mandate is timely broadcasting in regions in which it could otherwise be subject to censorship. ”
Radio jamming and Internet blocking
Since the start of broadcasting in 1996, the Chinese authorities have constantly jammed the PCA radio signal. [2]
Three PCA reporters were denied entry to China to highlight President Bill Clinton’s visit in June 1998 . The Chinese embassy in Washington gave visas to the trip, but canceled them shortly before President Clinton left the United States on an airplane in the direction of China. The White House and the US State Department have written complaints to the Chinese authorities, but the reporters have not been able to enter the country. [2] [3]
The Vietnamese service broadcasting was also jammed from the very beginning. [4] A bill on human rights was prepared with a proposal to allocate funds for technical opposition to signal jamming. [5] Research by the OpenNet Initiative , which monitors worldwide Internet filtering by governments, showed that the Vietnamese Radio Free Asia website was blocked by both of the tested Internet service providers, while the English service was blocked by one of the two providers. [6]
To notify about radio jamming and Internet blocking by the governments of those countries to which broadcasts and news are being broadcast, the PCA website contains instructions for creating anti-jamming antennas and information about proxy servers. [7]
On March 30, 2010, a Chinese web filter, known as the Golden Shield , temporarily inadvertently blocked all Google-China search queries due to an association with the search query rsa, which was censored for a long time [8] According to Google, Associated with Radio Free Asia, appeared in the URL of all Google search queries, thereby causing the search query to be blocked by the Chinese filter.
