History

Many years ago in these places, rich in small rivers and keys, a man first appeared. Initially, according to local historians, the future Chubuklins settled in the place that is still called the Old Village. But, apparently, it turned out to be not very successful for living, and therefore the whole village took off and moved under the so-called Guard Mountain (Karavyl Tava), which protected the settlement from the cold northern winds. Residents called their new village Chubukly. The fact is that this area was in a dense thicket of small talnik, which is called "chybyk" in Tatar . Actually, in the Tatar transcription the name sounds like this - "Chybykly". But the Mountain of Guard, according to the historian Jihangir Sibgatullin (ҖiҖangir Sibgatullin), is one of the guard posts of the Zakamsky defensive line, built in 1652-1656 and passing five kilometers from the territory of the present village. For the first time, the village was mentioned in the report of the Kazan governor, Prince Meshchersky, on February 28, 1775 due to the fact that its residents actively sided with the Pugachevites, putting up a detachment of fifty people. The people in Chubukly were literate. There were their own educational institutions. According to the data of 1870, both madrassas and a mosque were listed in the village. Of the 127 yards counted fourteen years later, thirty-seven were registered as Christians, although they secretly professed Islam and many times filed a petition to classify them with Muslims. But only after the manifesto of 1905 they were able to officially register as Muslims. There is another attraction in these places. This is Sugysh tava. In Russian, Chubuklins call it the Mountain of skirmishes. The fact is that at one time, a not very conscientious surveyor cut down lands that for centuries belonged to Chubuklam, the neighboring village of Onbia. And each time, when sowing, these two villages decided by force the ownership of the cut off plots. Only with the advent of the collective farm era did these skirmishes stop. Everything became common and a draw. Moreover, now these two villages were part of the same economy - SPK Rodina.
