Vladimir Ilyich Gorovoy (born November 13, 1932 , Kiev ) is an employee of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the KGB of the USSR under the Council of Ministers of the USSR [1] [2] . Hero of the Soviet Union (1973) [1] . Member of the Russian Association of Heroes [3] .

Biography
Born November 13, 1932 in the city of Kiev ( Ukraine ). He spent his childhood and youth in the Far East .
He served in the First Main Directorate (foreign intelligence) of the USSR State Security Committee .
I didn’t get to the front due to my infancy, I was only 8 years old when the Great Patriotic War began. He did not fight in Afghanistan either. And he was not in Chechnya. But I’m a foreign intelligence officer. My war is fought on an invisible front.

For fulfilling a difficult task in the USA , as a result of which strictly secret data became known to Soviet intelligence, “closed” by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated December 21, 1973, Gorov Vladimir Ilyich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal ( No. 11276).
Despite the long statute of limitations, it is forbidden to disclose any details of the task of V. I. Gorovoy, for which he received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union [1] .
Retired Colonel V.I. Gorova lives in Moscow [3] .
