Rural Area
Villages (villages) - the Baltic people who lived until the 15th century in Selia in the southeast of modern Latvia , as well as in the northeast of modern Lithuania . They spoke the Selonian language of the Baltic group . They became part of the Latvians and Lithuanians .
History
Mentioned from the II century [1] . In the IV - VI centuries, the dead were buried in mounds , often without cremation. The remains are poorly preserved. New graves often destroy old ones. Funeral equipment is modest. Find narrow-edged axes, single spearheads, knives. In female graves, a diadem with a long coil on the back of the head, a pin , occasionally a bracelet , and single hryvnias are sometimes found [2] .
