Biography

Born on January 26, 1919 in the village of Kendya (now in the Ichalkovsky district of Mordovia) in a peasant family. Mordvin .

He graduated from 7 classes. He worked on the collective farm "New Way" as a tax agent of the village council. Then he was a handyman in the Kendyan peat enterprise.

In 1939, he was drafted into the Red Army by the Ichkalovsky District Military Commissariat of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In the regimental school he received the specialty of radio operator . Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. The beginning of World War II met near Odessa.

In April 1942, the 78th separate rifle brigade, which included Red Army soldier Yefim Tyagushev, fought in the bend of the Seversky Donets River , near the town of Krasny Liman. On the night of April 20, a rifle company crossed to the western bank of the river and knocked out an enemy from a prevailing height of 158.6 near the village of Dolgenkoye (now Izyumsky district, Kharkov region of Ukraine). As part of the landing was also the Red Army Tyagushev. Performing a combat mission, signalmen deployed a radio station in the captured dugout and adjusted artillery fire, as well as participated in repelling several enemy counterattacks. On April 21, when the Nazis, attacking the heights defended by Tyagushev’s squad, surrounded the dugout, Yefim opened fire on the enemy from an assault rifle and caused the fire of Soviet artillery on himself on the radio. One of the shells hit the dugout. Tyagushev received a concussion and lost consciousness. The Nazis captured him.

Tyagushev went through several concentration camps. He ran twice, but unsuccessfully. Only the third escape on January 21, 1943 was successful, and he returned to the ranks of the Red Army. Later he took part in the battles on the Taman Peninsula, in the liberation of the Crimea, Romania, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Austria.

In 1946, Efim Tyagushev was demobilized. He arrived in Khabarovsk , where his parents left before the war. In 1952 he graduated from the Blagoveshchensk River School. He worked in the Amur River Shipping Company as the head of the berth of the 12th section of the Khabarovsk port. Since 1955, he worked as a senior acceptor, master of loading and unloading at the Imanskaya Quay on the Ussuri River . He lived in the city of Iman (since 1972 - Dalnerechensk ) of the Primorsky Territory.

He died on January 27, 1971 . He was buried in the central alley of the city cemetery of the city of Dalnerechensk.

Memory

  • In the museum of the city of Dalnerechensk, a whole stand is dedicated to the Hero. He earned the obelisk for the money earned by students. Local poets also dedicate poetry to Tyagushev, and shooting competitions are held annually in his honor [1] .

Rewards
