Nejefabad [1] [2] ( pers. نجف اباد ) is a small town in the south-west of Iran , in the provinces of Kokhgiluyye and Boyerkhamed . It is part of the Boyerkhamed shakhrestan . It is a southern suburb of Yasuja. As of 2006, the population was 5,913 people [3] .

Geography
The city is located in the east of Kokhgiluye and Boyerkhamed, in the highlands of central Zagros , at an altitude of 1,817 meters above sea level [1] . Nejefabad is located a few kilometers south of Yasuja , the provincial capital, and 550 kilometers south of Tehran , the country's capital.
