The administrative center of the Free rural settlement . The Free Farm of Primorsko - Akhtarsky District of the Krasnodar Territory was formed in 1916. Prior to this, there were free lands of the Hryvnia volost administration. In 1915, a decision was made on the cutting of land, and in 1916 allotments of land plots and eviction * from the village of Hryvnia began. In the autumn of 1916 and in the spring of 1917 the construction of the farm began. It was built 15-20 yards, the farm was called Nikitinsky. In 1918, Soviet power came to these parts and, in honor of freedom, the farm was called Free, and mass settlement began. In the 1920s, nearby villages began to be settled. The Free Village Council was organized. The first chairman of the Council of Workers' Deputies was Chernysh Stepan Markovich. From 1929 to 1930, the collective farm “Zarya Kuban” was organized on the territory of the Council. In 1932 it was disaggregated and there were four collective farms: in the Svobodny farm - the collective farm “Zarya Kuban”; in the Kurchansky farm - the collective farm "Red Fighter", in the farm Khoroshilovka - the collective farm "Red Partisan" and the collective farm "Light". From August 1942 to February 1943, the Primorsko-Akhtarsky district was temporarily occupied by Nazi invaders, the village Council did not function. In 1950, all four collective farms merged into one, and one collective farm “Zarya Kommunizma” was formed on the territory of the Soviet Union with three field teams, four dairy farms, one pig farm. Based on the order of the head of the district administration of February 27, 1992, No. 13-L, the Free Village Council was liquidated and the administration of the Free Rural District was formed. In accordance with the Law of the Krasnodar Territory dated 07.06.2004 No. 712-KZ “On Establishing the Borders of the Municipal Formation of the Primorsko-Akhtarsky District, Empowering It with the Status of a Municipal District, Establishing Urban and Rural Settlements in Its Composition, and Establishing their Borders”, Decree of the Head Primorsko - Akhtarsky district municipality dated October 27, 2005 No. 487-R “On the Elimination of Territorial Bodies of the Administration of the Municipal Formation Primorsko - Akhtarsky District", the Administration of the Free Rural District urn units were eliminated. On October 23, 2005, elections of the head and deputies of a rural settlement were held on the territory of the Free Rural Village. Raisa Timofeevna Radchenko was elected Head of the Free Rural Settlement, and 10 deputies were elected. The settlement includes four settlements: Svobodny farm, Kurchansky farm, Khoroshilov farm, Zanko farm.
