Biography
Yuri Solovyov was born on January 16, 1933 in the village of Tulun (now the Irkutsk Region ) in a family of employees.
He graduated from high school, acting faculty of VGIK (workshop Yu. Ya. Raizman , 1957) and courses of television directors at the film studio " Lenfilm " (headed by G. M. Kozintsev , 1967). Before entering VGIK, he attended an art club in one of the Moscow Houses of Culture.
From 1957, he was an actor and director of the Lenfilm film studio, an actor of the Leningrad studio of film actor, from 1976–1993 he was an actor of the Theater actor’s studio at the Lenfilm studio. Member of the editorial board of the literary and artistic magazine " Aurora ". The author of the book "Knots for memory."
In the cinema since 1955. Komsomol member Pyotr Chizhov played his first role in Mikhail Schweitzer’s “ Alien Relatives ” in the drama. His other works include Anton Valega (“ Soldiers ”), Muromtsev (“ On the roads of war ”), Nikolay (“ Shofyor against the will ”), Kostyrya (“ Breakthrough ”), doctor Dima (“ Risk level ”), Shestakov (“ Feat Odessa ”), Ivan Efremov (“ Defendant ”).
He died on January 14, 2017 , not having lived two days before the 84th anniversary.
