In the USA
In the United States, Parents' Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of every July. The holiday was founded in 1994 , when Bill Clinton signed a Resolution from Congress and passed a law to “recognize, exalt and support the role of parents in raising children.” The bill was introduced by Republican Senator Trent Lott . US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said: "Replacing Father's Day and Mother's Day with Parents' Day should be seen as observance of the holiday, more consistent with the policy of minimizing traditional gender differences in the parental role .
