Early years
Emmanuel was born in Ghana , in the city of Kumasi . In early childhood, he moved with his family to the capital of England - London , where he settled in Tottenham . There he was spotted by the scouts of Arsenal. Until the age of 14, Frimpong attended a local school, but then dropped out to focus entirely on training at the Gunners Academy.
Club career
Arsenal
Frimpong was one of the key players in Arsenal’s junior squad that was second to none in the 2008/09 season. On October 5, 2009, Emmanuel made his debut for reserve in a match against Chelsea . In the summer of 2010, Frimpong spent the first time pre-season training with the main team and was able to prove himself excellently in friendly matches. However, his plans for the season were ruined by a serious injury. On August 19, 2010, Emmanuel received a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee and was out of action for 9 months. Due to the long recovery period, rental options were considered [2] , but in the end he remained at Arsenal and took part in friendly matches of the first team.
He made his debut in the championship of England on August 13, 2011 in a match against Newcastle , after he replaced Tomas Rosicki in the 85th minute [3] . Ufa
September 1, 2014 signed a three-year contract with Ufa [16] . He made his debut for the club on September 14 in a match against Krasnodar . Later it turned out that Frimpong was declared in the Premier League tournament and the Cup of Russia on the basis of a tourist visa, which is a gross violation of the rules. “Ufa” could receive technical defeats in all matches in which the legionnaire took part [17] .

In a February 2011 interview, he said: “If they call me from the national team of my country and invite me to take part in one of its matches, then I will sit on my bike and get it from England to Ghana.” In August 2011, he received his first call to the England youth team , but the club did not let him go to this match.
On March 24, 2013, in a match with the Sudan national team (4-0), Frimpong made his debut in the Ghana national team [21] .
Field Position
Emmanuel played both in the position of the defensive midfielder and in the position of the central midfielder. For his playing style, he was often compared to Alexander Song and Michael Essien .
