The village was founded around the end of the XVII century by immigrants from Pereyaslavl Ryazan . Until 1701 it was in a monastic possession. In the 1780s passed into the possession of the Counts Orlovs (later - Orlovs-Davydovs).

In 1780, there were a hundred revision souls in the village. In 1792, a wooden church appeared in the village in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity with two thrones.

By 1859, there were 173 yards and 1221 people in the village; by 1903, the population grew slightly: by 222 yards and 1414 people.

In February 1918, Soviet power was established. By 1931, the population of the village was 2126 people.

In 1929 the collective farm “12 years of October” was formed, initially only 32 people entered it. In the same year, the temple was closed in the village. By 1967, the collective farm had 5800 hectares of land, 23 tractors, 8 combines, 14 cars. The collective farm also owned a livestock town with 1011 heads of cattle and 3149 heads of sheep.

In the 1960s, the collective farm built a club, a first-aid post, a selmag, a post office, and a school. Currently, the village houses a museum of the history of villages of the Stavropol region.

In 2002, a new temple was consecrated, "Introduction to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary."

History of Administrative Subordination

Until 1780, the village was part of the Simbirsk district of the Kazan province , since 1780 it began to belong to the Samara district of Simbirsk governorate .

In 1851 it became part of the Samara district of the Samara province . It was part of the Sosnovo-Solonetsk volost.

In 1929, the village became part of the Samara region of the Middle Volga region .

Since 1941, in the Sosnovo-Solonetsky district of the Kuibyshev region .

In 1960, it moved to the Zhigulevsky district of the Kuibyshev region.

In 1963 it entered the Stavropol district of the Kuibyshev region (since 1991 - Samara).

In 2006, it became part of the rural settlement of Bolshaya Ryazan.

The village is well known to the Orthodox inhabitants of the Stavropol region and the Samara region for its sources, revered as saints. These are sources in the name of the icon of the Mother of God “The Tsaritsa” and in the name of the founders of the Russian monasticism of Saints Anthony and Theodosius.
