Predgornensky District (Grozny Region)

Predgornensky District (until 1939 - Staro-Ataginsky, until 1944 - Ataginsky) - an administrative unit of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , Grozny region of the RSFSR . The administrative center is the village of Piedmont .

Content

History

By the resolution of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of April 20, 1935, the Staro-Ataginsky District was formed as part of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Region [2] .

In 1939, the district was renamed Ataginsky [3] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 29, 1944, the district was renamed Predgornensky [2] .

By a decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR in 1956, the district was abolished, and its territory became part of the Grozny district [2] .

According to the 1939 All-Union Census [1] :

  • Chechens - 18728 (95.9%)
  • Russians - 505 (2.6%)
  • Ukrainians - 98 (0.5%)
  • Avars - 48 (0.2%)
  • Ingush - 39 (0.2%)

By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of February 23, 1945 "On the renaming of some village councils and settlements of the Grozny region", the village councils and settlements of the district receive new names [4] :

11. PRE-MOUNTAIN AREA - the village council of Dochu-Borzoevsky should be renamed Dvurechenskiy and the village Dochu-Borzoy to Dvorichchia; renamed the Yarysh-Merdy farm to the Alabaster farm; to rename the village council of Duba-Yurtovsky into Rodnikovsky and the village of Duba-Yurt into Rodnikovoye; Novo-Ataginsky village council renamed to Maysky and the village of Novye Atagi in Mayskoye; village council Old-Ataginsky renamed to Piedmont; village Council Urus-Kert renamed Trehgorsky and the village of Urus-Kert in the Three-hill; Chechen-Aulsky village council to rename Kalinovsky and village Chechen-Aul to Kalinovka; rename the village council of Chiri-Yurt to Nadrechensky and the village of Chiri-Yurt in Nadrechye; Chishkinsky village council renamed to Pionersky, village Chishky to Pionersky.
