Open Data Protocol (OData) is an open web protocol for querying and updating data. The protocol allows you to perform operations with resources using HTTP commands as requests and receive responses in XML or JSON formats.
Starting with version 4.0, OData is an open standard approved by [1] OASIS .
Previous versions of the OData specification are available to users under the . Microsoft has released the OData SDK, consisting of libraries for the Microsoft .NET Framework , AJAX , PHP , Java , JavaScript , WebOS , and Objective-C . In addition, Microsoft PowerPivot for Excel supports the OData feed (OData feed) as one of the options for importing data into its core of information analysis in memory [2] .
