Madevan-e-Sofla [1] or Madevan-e-Payin [2] ( pers. مادوان سفلي ) is a small town in the south-west of Iran , in the provinces of Kokhgiluye and Boyerkhamed . It is part of the Boyerkhamed shakhrestan . It is one of the suburbs of Yasuja. As of 2006, the population was 3,239 people [3] .

Geography
The city is located in the east of Kokhgiluye and Boyerkhamed, in the highlands of central Zagros , at an altitude of 2,042 meters above sea level [2] . Madevan e Sophla is located a few kilometers northwest of Yasuja , the provincial capital and 545 kilometers south of Tehran , the country's capital.
