Catopsilia pyranthe (lat.) - a species of Lepidoptera insects from the family of whites . Distributed in Southeast Asia , from Sri Lanka to the Solomon Islands and in Australia ( Lord Howe Island , Victoria and South Australia ) [2] .

The wingspan of the butterflies is about 50 mm [2] . Caterpillars are cylindrical, green with a yellow stripe on each side and black dots on the head. Adult tracks are 40 mm long [2] .
Caterpillars feed on representatives of the Caesalpin family - Cassia brewsteri , Senna planitiicola , Senna barclayana , Senna alata , Senna venusta , Senna aciphylla , Cassia didymobotrya and Cassia fistula [2] .
