Vladimir Roaldovich Erlich (born February 26, 1961 , Moscow ) is a Soviet and Russian historian, doctor of historical sciences . Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation [1] .

Biography
Vladimir Roaldovich Erlich was born on February 26, 1961 in Moscow.
Graduated from MV Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 1992 he defended his thesis at the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The theme is “Arms and horse equipment in the culture of the population of the Trans-Kuban in Scythian time.”
In 2005 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The theme is "The Northwest Caucasus at the Beginning of the Iron Age."
In 2007, he led the excavation of ulsky barrows .
He currently works as the head of the Caucasus sector of the State Museum of the East.
For the past 25 years, he has been leading state archaeological expeditions to carry out excavations of antiquities (Kuban, Abkhazia), according to the results of which he wrote more than 180 works on the history and archeology of Southern Russia of the Bronze and Iron Age .
The scientific sphere is the history of Russia , the history of the Krasnodar Territory , Scythians , Sarmatians , Meots , the history of the Ancient World , the history of Abkhazia , archeology .
