Biography
Quinn was born on January 18, 1982 in Orem, Utah , in a Mormon family. He has two younger brothers, Jan and Riley, and an older sister Rodi. At school, he was a shy boy, which, however, did not prevent him from constantly arguing with his teachers. The first sport he started was basketball. Already at an early age, Quinn began playing in various musical groups. His first group was called “Hey Santos!”. At age 15, he creates the Dumb Luck group in company with Jeff Howard and Branden Steinekert , which will later be called The Used . Just like The Used singer Bert McCracken , Quinn opposes the religion of the Mormons.
“Mormons think they live in their own insular world ... that this world is in Utah, and it must be perfect. "God is here." But it is not. There is no more of him [God] than at Compton . ”
Before becoming The Used official group, Quinn had to work at Arby's [1] and on the golf course. Allman says he really liked this job. He got up early and mowed the lawn before sunset with his favorite music. “However, nothing could be better than a recording contract,” Quinn laughs.
Simultaneously with the conclusion of the contract, Quinn becomes a vegetarian and supports PETA . However, in 2009, Allman again begins to eat meat.
“I'm not a vegetarian now, like Jeff. I still think that cruelty to animals is not excusable, and there will be no end to it. I began to eat meat because I was too overwhelmed by my own problems to think about what was useless to fight. I think that at the moment, with our brains and technologies, we need to find a way to kill animals more humanely and painlessly, and also to develop ways to feed the world without dependence on meat. ” [2]
On August 21, 2011, Quinn Allman married an American singer and actress Megan Joy.
On February 2, 2015, it was said that Allman leaves The Used for a while, and Justin Shekoshski will take his place during the tour [3] . On November 19 of the same year, it was announced that Quinn had finally left The Used, and Shekossky became a regular member of the group [4] .
